Nick Trask and Baggers go all the way back to our first issue. That's how long his Trask Performance company has been making turbo kits in-house for dressers. We've grown over the years and so has Nick's company.

“We also build a unique line of Assault Series bikes featuring our turbo systems and other performance parts,” Nick says. “Good friend Ron Cornell loved our Assault line of bikes and wanted us to build him one.” Welcome to the bonus plan, Ron. Your bike made it to our Invitational Build-Off.

Nick started by purchasing a late-model, low-mileage Road King as the platform for launching his Assault vehicle. A used bike with a clean title, it was easier to insure than a ground-up custom.

The most challenging part was to build the bike to fit Ron without changing up the lines of the bike. “We pulled the neck back 2 inches and extended the bars to reduce the reach,” Nick explains.

Sweet iron like this doesn't come cheap though. “Our Assault Series bikes cost in the range of $80,000 to $120,000 depending on engine packages and options,” Nick says. Ron opted for the 131-inch turbo charged option resulting in a power output of 205 hp on pump gas or 260 hp at 14 pounds boost, running high-octane fuel.

“This bike was ridden on the Hot Bike Tour 2016 and performed flawlessly,” Nick tells us. “It makes tons of smooth power while providing a smooth cushy ride. Our Assault bikes also feature gun-coated components and a unique Assault Series 30-inch front wheel with perimeter rotor. You will notice the spokes are offset. Specialty Coatings painted and coated all parts with cerakote finishes; they're rugged and durable. We also incorporated an electric lockout as a safety option to prevent the bike airing out and hitting the road at speed. This is unique to our bikes.”
