I like running low bare-bones style seats most of the time. That is until I peel off a few hundred miles and my ass feels as if it was paddled by Doug Niedermeyer himself.
I began using seat pads when riding to Sturgis many moons ago and most of them felt as if I was wearing a diaper. That was until I got one of Pro Pad’s SuprCruzr Tech Series Seat pad ($99.95), and I was a happy man.
The key to the comfort of this pad is a specially formulated padded polymer insert that reduces vibration while supporting the rider. It also has a few strategically placed cutouts to reduce pressure on “sensitive” areas.
Outside, the pad is covered in a micro spacer fabric that gives your booty a neutral seating surface that really improves the ride by fitting off rearend fatigue. The design of the fabric cover seemed to breathe better than most, so you don’t get the dredded monkey butt when the heat is on.
If your butt and boys are hatin’ it when the mileage goes up, think about grabbing one of these SuprCruzr pads to use instead of some big ugly couch-like seat or some other worthless and weak seat pad.
