Boom! Audio High-Performance Fairing Speakers The stock audio unit that comes stock on Harley-Davidson Touring bikes is a pretty decent sounding unit. However, at highway speeds the sound isn't always as loud or as crisp as many of us would like. There are a plethora of aftermarket audio solutions out there but H-D has recently stepped up with an upgraded speaker system that is fully compatible with the stock Harman-Kardon Advanced Audio System. While the name Boom! Audio High Performance Boom! Bagger Electra Glide Fairing Speakers is quite long and redundant, the speakers were designed to produce higher fidelity and volume. The new two-way speaker design with separate full-range woofer element and grille-mounted tweeter provides improved high-frequency response that helps cut through the road and wind noise. While we don't have the necessary measuring equipment at our disposal, H-D claims the new speakers are 25 percent louder than the stock speakers at the same volume setting. While they are certainly louder, we really liked the reduced distortion and sound clarity at speed. Each of the two 51/4-inch waterproof speakers mounts in the Batwing fairing with no major modifications. The speaker kit includes two-way speaker design with separate custom grill-mounted tweeters, electronic crossovers, and plug-and-play wiring connections. The speakers currently fit '06-later fairing-mount speakers on Electra Glide and Trike models equipped with Advanced Audio System. Speakers are also available for the Road Glide and the rear speakers on the Ultra. 01.
