Here are the RideTek Lid Haulers...
Here are the RideTek Lid Haulers ($119.95) and Lid Saks ($ 39.99). All that's needed for this install is a small piece of sandpaper, a pair of scissors, and alcohol wipes. To help with the install, we placed the Lid Haulers outside in the sun to warm them up a bit. This allows the cover to stretch over the top of bag lids with ease.
Up Front New Stuff
Baggers magazine is always on the lookout for ways to help you with your trips and touring plans with places to go and see. We also look for ways to help you and your stuff get there. RideTek is such a product that will help you get more of your things safely to your destination. The company was started back 1999 as a way to protect the lids of FL saddlebags from getting beat up by boots and other things with Lid-Covers. The company then came up with Lid Haulers, which allows you to carry an extra bag or Lid Saks on the top of your saddlebag and secured in place with two large straps. Lid Saks are made of water-resistant urethane-coated oxford nylon. All products are made in the USA and are easy to install.

With the Velcro still in place on the Lid Hauler, we marked where each piece of Velcro would mount. We then removed the tack-side (sticky) from the Velcro and mounted them in place. We let the Velcro set up for about an hour to make sure it was stuck to the lid. We then stretched the flaps over the saddlebag lid and secured them to the Velcro strips. |

Next we installed the Lid Saks. Once we filled the bags with our gear using the two compression straps, we tightened down the bags. Then using the two straps on the Lid Hauler, we cinched down the straps to hold the bags in place. These bags are designed to carry lightweight gear such as jackets, gloves, and raingear. They provide a great way to take some extra gear safely along with you on a trip. | |
