Some boots look good and some boots work good. Harley-Davidson made a boot that, in my opinion, does both. The FXRG boot ($210) looks more like a tactical boot than a biker boot due to the oiled leather upper and breathable Cordura underlay. Once I laced up the boots, they felt comfortable from the get-go. While riding, the boots felt good and had good articulation for shifting and braking, which I liked very much. The boots were also completely wind-proof and warm, but the best feature of the FXRG boots is the breathable Gore-Tex membrane. Try as I may, I could not get my feet wet even while standing in puddles. After a few hundred miles both on and off the bike my two cents is, if you are into looking like a Special Ops agent and not having cold or wet feet, then the FXRG boots are for you.
