Ape Hangers Lets face it, swapping out short bars to a set of tall ape hangers is a pain. Not only do you have to decide just what size bars to use, you have to measure your brake hose, throttle and clutch cables then search all over town trying to find them in the correct lengths. Have you ever wished that you could just call someone, tell them what size bars you wanted and they showed up at your house ready to install with all the right stuff. Well, Hill Country Custom Cycles does just that. They offer bagger ape hanger packages that are guaranteed to fit correctly and install easily with OEM color correct wires and proper length brake lines. We decided to put them to the test, so we gave Hill Country Custom Cycles a buzz and ordered a set of 14-inch apes for a 1996 Road King. The bars came a short time later and were exactly what we were looking for. We hustled them over to Freedom Cycles where our pals Devin and Kazoo installed them in a matter of hours with no issues whatsoever. All we can say about the installation of Hill Country's ape hanger package is why doesn't everything in life go this smoothly. (1.) This is how the handlebar kit came from Hill Country Custom. (2.)
