Rear LED
When we were putting the new paint set on the Lonely King, we wanted our rear lights to be bright, yet stealth and most of all, easy to install.

We originally were going to french in a run, brake, and turn LED strip into the bag fillers and fender, but decided that we didn't want to take the time to do all that dirty work once we saw the Street Magic 8-inch Plasma Rods available from Custom Dynamics.

These rods use 3M adhesive strips to secure them to just about any location you can dream of. We mounted them to the outside of our rear fender between the fender and the bag filler. This location was great due to the stealth looks of the Plasma Rods being sandwiched between the 1/2-inch of space and when the bike is turned off the Rods are virtually undetectable.

To achieve the run, brake and turn capabilities we wanted, the Plasma Rods needed Street Magic's Triple Play signal stabilizer. This well thought out unit not only allows the OE wiring harness to accept the LED lights as well as running lights and turn signals, it also makes the Rods pulse three times when the brakes are applied to further aid in visibility.

The installation of the Plasma Rods and Triple Play Stabilizer took less than an hour, look non-existent when the bike is off, and when on, offer some major lighting out back.

(3.)We stealthily ran the Plasma Rod's wiring below the rear frame rails and into the area under the seat where all of the rear lighting connections were made.

(4.)The Triple Play harness and LED stabilizer were installed under the left side cover. We then routed the wires up to the OE harness, located under the seat.

(5.)Once the Plasma Rod's wires were measured for proper fit, we cut them, added OEM style pins, and inserted each of them into the OE connector block.

(6.)We installed the rewired connecter block into the rear harness, reconnected the battery, and checked all the connections to see if they worked properly.
