There are not many things better in life than taking a nice, scenic, bike ride and then kicking back outside overnight. I'm talking camping here; continuing the outdoor experience, breathing fresh air, bonding with nature, and your friends. Today's Touring bikes are the ideal candidate to take on nature-they're reliable and have tons of storage options.
But, you need at least a few items to be able to meet the demands of Mother Nature. A tent, sleeping bag, and a place to rest your butt is a good place to start. Napier makes tents and miscellaneous other gear targeted at outdoor enthusiasts and the Sportz X-Treme PAC ($252.95) looked like just the ticket to get me on the comfort train after a long day's ride. It's a complete camping package designed with everything you need for a comfortable stay in the great outdoors and includes a three season tent, full rain fly, two stools, two sleeping bags and nicely made carrying bag.

I'm an adventurous type so I never opened the bag until I got to the dirt. I didn't read t
I had a recent opportunity to get out of town with a bunch of other dirtbaggers and gave the X-treme PAC a go.

ButtyBuddy
The ButtyBuddy (www.buttybuddy.com, $149.95) is a great companion for the passenger in your life. It's an ingenious three-piece seating system that allows a comfortable pillion to be added to any bike. On two-up Touring seats the ButtyBuddy uses a combination of lateral supports and straps to securely fasten to your existing seat. It's adjustable nature makes it adaptable to every seat we can think of. Best of all there is no way for the ButtyBuddy to harm or scratch your rear fender in any way. Setup took all of two minutes and the skinny stock pillion was turned into a comfortable 13 1/2 inch wide, ergonomically designed p-seat. Removal and reinstallation takes seconds. For those with a solo seat, the ButtyBuddy also comes with large suction cups to protect the paint.
Conclusion We love it and our girls love it. A happy passenger makes the world a better place.
