Exhaust Buyers Guide

Bag This

Do you remember the first time you heard a Harley pass by you as a kid? You were completely hooked just from the sound of the bike right? Well times and laws have changed and the bikes that used to shatter windows now seem to be reduced to a dull roar. Luckily there are many companies trying to bring back those bygone days by letting out a bit more of that H-D sound while adding some power and good looks.

Because there are so many choices when it comes to upgrading the exhaust on a bagger, we have amassed a few of the industry's finest pipe and muffler makers in this buyer's guide, so you can see what fits your liking.

CCS
King of Spades Pipes
$900 ccschoppers.com

CCS builds custom pipes for your bagger and will make them pretty much anyway you want them. These were built for a '04 Road King with turn-down tips finished in a shiny silver ceramic coating.

D&D claims that these pipes will bump up your ponies by 15hp and will deliver a deep, pleasing and eco-friendly exhaust note that also improve fuel economy. The exhaust is actually 2-into-1 but you can add a left side non-operable "Ghost Pipe" to keep that dual exhaust look. Fits '97-09 FL models.

These sexy tight-radius pipes start at 1 -inch jumping to 2 -inch then fusing through a 2-into-1 collector, ending at a 3-inch radius with your choice of three different tips to choose from. I found your site searching for info on covington exhaust. I am curious of your opinion on covington hot rod and LA choppers true duals with either 3 1/2 or 4 inch mufflers.I have a 2006 flhtci, now running stock head pipes with eagle beak slip-ons by Bub, Andrews cams and a screaming eagle aircleaner.Bike runs and sounds good, but for some reason I want true dual head pipes now. Should I just put vance + hines or cobra dual head pipes.  HELP. Thanks!!!
