Are the cops in your hometown cracking down on loud pipes? Do you leave your warm and cozy house at the break of dawn and worry about waking up your light-sleeping wife? Well those days are over friends, because with the Defender exhaust from Patriot you can ride around under the radar until you are ready to rumble with on-the-fly volume changes. To make this a possibility, the Defender exhaust features Sound Flow Inversion (SFI) technology. SFI is an innovative exhaust baffle design that allows the rider to redirect the flow of the exhaust to instantly change the volume. This is achieved by a cable-activated baffling system which can take the engine sound from stock-like quietness to a deep throaty groan close to any of the other loud pipes on the market.

The pipes are constructed from corrosion-proof 304 stainless steel with full-coverage heat shields and feature a rolled tip. Internally, the Defender pipes's feature a step-pipe design that promotes exhaust velocity coupled with a state-of-the-art perforated muffler core that sustains the added horsepower and torque no matter what the pipe's SFI setting is at.

We installed a set of all-black Defender pipes on an `08 Road Glide and found them to be everything Patriot said they were in the performance department. More so, we liked the look and loved the cable-activated sound adjustment!
