The Making Of An Ultra King
Part Eight

In this month's installment of the ever evolving `97 Road King, we call "The Lonely King," we decided to take the bike one-step further and outfit it with a set of Hogg Chopps lowers and a Harley-Davidson chopped tour pack. Designed for Road King owners, the Hogg Chopps Lowers are computer-designed to cover the maximum amount of space from the floorboard to the windshield and stream the air around the rider. The Lowers are constructed from ABS plastic and were painted in-house at Hogg Chopps to match our FLHR. After cruising the handy H-D Parts and Accessories catalog, we ordered up a matching Vivid Black Chopped Tour-Pack with all the trimmings. The installation of both the Hogg Chopps and the Tour-Pak require basic tools that even a beginer-level mechanic would not have a problem carrying out.
