Air Cleaner And Trim RingIn the quest for more torque and horsepower some of us get crazy and tear apart our engines the day we get them home. Others tend to gain their horsepower step-by-step. Whether it be dollars or sense, the best way to get started on this stage-by-stage journey is to get one's motor breathing easier. The stock Harley-Davidson air cleaner is pretty restrictive, so before we even brought our project '08 Road Glide home from our local dealer we ordered a Screamin' Eagle Stage-One Air Cleaner Kit. The kit features a one-piece aluminum cast back plate with internal breathers and a synthetic air cleaner element that unlike many aftermarket versions does not require oiling. This air cleaner claims to breath 60 percent better with the same amount of filtration as the OE unit. The upgrade is a 10-minute, five-bolt job that will have your bike breathing well and getting one step closer to horsepower nirvana.
