Performance Machine's Antilock Answer
Performance Machine has what you need to trick out your ABS-equipped bagger. As you may or may not know, the 2008 ABS systems, which are available optionally on FL-based bikes, are completely different than Harley's past brake offerings, placing these antilock braking systems at the forefront of V-twin technology. With all these technical advancements, if you are thinking about upgrading to an aftermarket ABS caliper or a trick set of wheels, certain parameters need to be met. In short, if you try to mix non-ABS-designed parts with your factory ABS system, you will run into some major issues.

A few things that separate these systems over their non-ABS counterparts are that the system utilizes Brembo calipers and a master cylinder with a piston size that is a smaller 15mm diameter versus the older 11/16-inch size. Also, the ABS sensor is located in the wheel bearing and needs to be in place for the system to operate correctly, whether using a factory or aftermarket wheel. To make the wheel upgrade as easy as possible, Performance Machine supplies new sensor bearings preinstalled into every set of ABS wheels.

Performance Machine has met the demand for aftermarket ABS brakes and wheels and has designed a whole slew of shiny, new hop-up parts for your ABS bagger. To aid in combing through the different options available from PM and make them a bit clearer for you, the reader, we have amassed a list of options available.
