Hogpro 180 Bagger Kit And Dominator Wheels - In-N-Out

Hogpro Wheels And Wide-Tire Kit

As we all know, swapping out the OE wheels for a nice set of custom ones is on the top of most people's list when purchasing a new bagger.

There are so many choices in styles as well as sizes, and just when you are done settling on which wheel you want, you have to figure out what other ancillary parts you may actually need to fit your year and model. If you are not careful, you can run into quite a snafu.

There is a one-stop shop for wheels, tires and everything needed to get them on your bike, and it's called Hogpro. Not only boasting that they have almost every wheel and tire combo they feature in stock, they also state that you can either ride in to have them installed while you wait, or they'll throw a set on the big brown truck and get 'em shipped to your door the next day, if need be.

We decided to put Hogpro to the test on their "while you wait" wheel install option and even upped the ante by having them fit a 180 Bagger Kit on our '07 Street Glide. We chose the Black Magic finish Dominator wheels to complement the black-and-blue look of the Street Glide. The Black Magic wheels are first anodized black and then machined for a very high-tech, contrasting look. We chose a 21 front and 18-inch rear size combination with matching rotors wrapped in 180/55-18 rear and 120/70-21 front Avon tires. The wide-tire kit mimics the 180 kit that is found on the CVO models and consists of a wide rear fender, powdercoated swingarm, new axle, saddlebag supports, strut covers and all the necessary hardware for the conversion. The kit uses many Harley-Davidson OEM products and retains both the stock belt and gearing.

Once we arrived at Hogpro's retail location, we were impressed at the operation. It is not your usual dingy V-twin-style bike shop. Hogpro has both an impressive and, dare we say, classy showroom out front and a "so clean you could eat off the floor" workshop.

After we wheeled the bike into the service area, we were given a complimentary cold drink, and once the bike was on the lift, they escorted us to Hogpro's comfy, air-conditioned waiting room, where we watched TV and glazed over piles of magazines and motorcycle books.

The complete job took less than six hours to do thanks to their staff of skilled technicians. When the bike rolled out of Hogpro, it looked meaner than a roided-out UFC fighter, and after only a short test ride, we felt it rode significantly better with the tall front wheel and wide rear tire. Viva la Hogpro!
