Sorry to say, but there is nothing more ugly and out of place as the license plate mount on today's Harley bagger. Albeit it serves a bit of a structural purpose, for the most part it's a leftover part from a day long gone by. Luckily our friends at Bruisers Inc. make a nice, well-crafted part that will eradicate the license plate grab bar and let you have some freedom in where you put your plate and look good while doing so.

The parts are handmade, chrome-plated and fit like the OEM parts they are replacing. For added style, the ends have a 1/4-inch-20 tapped hole so a variety of end caps and LED lights can be fitted. The classy good looks of the eliminators really dress up the back of the bike and clean it up at the same time. B

  • (1.)We start by removing the stock license plate bar and rear fender brackets.
  • (2.)Now we slide the top pieces of the kit over each side of the frame rails.
  • (3.)By sliding some bolts through the holes in the frame rails, we attach the new fender bracket plates.

  • (4.)We now reattach the fender/bag brackets and tighten to factory specs.
  • (5.)Now that all of the bolts have been tightened and rechecked, we reinstall the chrome frame covers.
