Mike Kaplan Cycles Grand Opening Party
On November 22 the fun flowed thick in San Luis Obispo, California, as Mike Kaplan Cycles held its grand opening party. Over 1,000 people from all over California turned out to wish Mike and his crew well. Valerie Johnson and the New-Sound Boogie Band kicked out tunes all day while riders ran Mike out of food twice. Who can blame them? It was smoked brisket, after all. Dressers, antiques, and modern iron of all types and stripes were to be found there that Saturday. The shop is a full service operation that also services H-Ds and Victorys alike. Look for smaller versions of the big party every month.

When President Obama was sworn in back in January, Harley-Davidson of Frederick, Maryland, led the way with a team of 12 bikes at the front of the parade.
