Road Tested | 2010 Harley Davidson Road Glide Custom

When it comes to stopping power the Road Glide had the optional ABS braking system with a dual disc setup for the front with two 4-piston calipers and a single 4-piston set-up for the rear. The Road Glide has three-color options: Vivid Black, Black Denim, and my favorite Scarlet Red that has a hot-rod look to it. GTX nylon hard saddlebags have color-matched latches, and inserts fill the spaces between the saddlebags and the rear fender. The appearance is a low-slung stance courtesy of the 1-inch lower rear suspension. This brings the seat height to less than 30 inches from the ground. The look is reinforced by the "ground effects" trim at the bottom edge of the rear fender. The rear of the motorcycle sports a LED taillight assembly that integrates the turn signals and stop light into one fixture. So it looks better, and makes it easier to be seen.

At the end of the trip with somewhere around 1,000 miles, I was not ready to give the bike back. We were able to keep it for an extra two weeks where I took the bike out everyday and even short commute trips giving my little girl rides to school, and picking up stuff from the market. When the time comes that I have an extra $18,999 this would be the bike I would buy. Maybe by then this one will be used and I can get a deal on from the big bosses at the motor company. We'll see.
