2004 Harley-Davidson FLHTC - Road Tripper

Harry Cook's Bagger Is Always Parked Closest To The Garage Door

2004 H-D FLHTC
Harry Cook from Darlington, South Carolina, has always had a fondness for American V-twin motorcycles. In fact he had spent most of his adult life piloting one type of motorcycle or another all over the winding two-lanes of the South. For the most part, they weren't what you would consider long-range bikes; most of them had really long front ends and no real rear suspension to speak of. That is until 2003 when Harry rolled up to his local Harley-Davidson dealer and plunked down a wad of dough on a brand-new FLHTC. He bought the new bagger with every intention of using it for all of the long trips he had planned that year.

He brought his new bike home and parked it next to the gleaming custom choppers he had in the garage. Of course it was closest to the garage door the next morning and Harry didn't feel like rearranging everything in his garage, so he just took it out that day. Before he knew it, weeks passed and his other bikes hadn't moved an inch. He started thinking about it and eventually sold all of his other bikes and bought another full dresser.

While he broke the new bike in, the '04 was shipped off to Myrtle Beach Performance to have the powerplant punched out to 103 cubic inches, get a custom front wheel and brakes, and a set of Gator Boxes' long saddlebags. It was then off for some custom paint at Badlandz where the stock graphics were copied using custom mixed colors.

Now Harry has a custom-looking bagger that will pull the front wheel off the ground in Second gear and is so comfortable he rode it from South Carolina to South Dakota and back. It's a pretty safe bet that Harry is hooked on baggers for life.
