Harley Davidson Softail - Star Customs Drag Bike
A Softail Drag Bike?

I had a difficult time choosing the wheels until I opened the most recent edition (at that time) of HOT BIKE and noticed that Weld Wheels had a big advertisement featuring a set of wheels called Reaper. I immediately thought to myself, these wheels would work out well, because it wouldn't be very difficult to modify some wheelie bar wheels to resemble the Weld Wheels. I coupled that with a set of Avon Venoms and I was ready to roll.
The exhaust and handlebars were two things that would be either kicked or scratched up, so I wanted to stay away from chrome and use a material that could be polished. I faxed Stainless Creations some details of the bars and pipes I wanted, and they made both components out of stainless steel. As for the color, I wanted something blue and something bright, so I had it painted with House of Kolor's Tru-Blue with a double tribal design.
The bike took roughly six months to complete, most of which was spent on paint or waiting for parts. Dragstar has completed in many bike shows and won Best of Show at a majority of them.
