It’s no secret that baggers are big in Daytona. Hell, even years ago it seemed that the riders Down South had a big jump on the rest of the country when it came to knowing just how cool tricked-out touring bikes actually were. Now everywhere you look from Ormond Beach to the Daytona International raceway there are bagged bikes. Whether it be stock-styled mom-n-pop cruisers or 30-inch wheel having taildraggers, the Harley-Davidson FL ruled the roost.
Not only the bike gawking was good, but hundreds of bolt-on and performance motorcycle companies were amassed all over the city so touching and talking about your next purchase with the pros was easier than ever.
Thinking about buying a new bike? Well, Daytona Bike Week has you covered with that as well. Harley, Victory, Triumph, Honda, and even Indian had legions of their newest bikes ready and waiting for free no-pressure test rides.
We put more than a few miles on some of the new and cool bikes, shot a ton of feature bikes for this magazine as well as photographed a ton of what was going down for all of you that missed this years action.
If you have never been down to Daytona for bike week, you need to change that. With some of the best weather, riding, food, and scantly-clad tight-bodied beach goers making the scene you would be insane not to. . B
