September Calender Of Motorcycle Events Cover Spread

News Flash...every month we get a few emails from readers asking if we can list their poker run or bike show in the calendar. We always say,"Yes, send over the info and we would be glad to." However, everyone seems to be sending their information within the same month as the event. Here's the catch-to make the newsstand in time for your event we need to get the info at least three months ahead of time. "Wait, what does that mean?" you ask? If you want us to post your event info, we need time to do so. Email any info to ernie.lopez@sorc.com.

July 18
Los Angeles Calendar Motorcycle Show
Long Beach, CA

The 19th annual Calendar Show returns to the Queen Mary with tons of motorcycles and great music. Join more than 20,000 motorcycle enthusiasts and rock music fans along the beautiful Pacific Ocean. This is the West Coast's premier motorcycle show featuring top-name builders, selected exhibitors, products, and apparel. Calendar Kitten and Playboy Playmate Heather Rae Young will be this year's host of events. Included with admission is the exciting Calendar Girl Rock Musical Festival. Headlining is the beautiful Sara Haze and her band. Plus the all-girl AC/DC tribute band Whole Lotta Rosies will perform, singer/songwriters Elizabeth Nicole and Katie Cole will also perform, and the very sexy Perfect Angels dance and music show will put a smile on your face.

July 25
MDA Miracle Ride
Lake Bloomington Hudson, IL

The Miracle Ride starts at 2 p.m. with a big parade of motorcycles that will ride into the camp with riders from all over Illinois joining in on the fun. This is the kick-off for the annual MDA summer camp events. This year there is going to be a live band, great food, sidecar rides, and tons of activities for the kids. All money raised will go to help send kids with MD to summer camp.

July 24 -25
Run to the Ohio Wall
Canal Fulton, OH

The sign-ups start at 10 a.m. at Clay's Park with riders heading to the Ohio Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall at Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman at 1 p.m., with the first ceremony starting at 2 p.m. There will be all-day and evening events at Clay's Park including vendors, food, live entertainment, and Veterans' support groups, plus a candlelight vigil memorial. Ohio's Veterans, together with the Gold and Blue Star families of Ohio, are dedicating this year's annual run to our fallen and deployed Veterans of Iraq, Afghanistan, and the War on Terror.

Sonoma County Poker Run
Santa Rosa, CA

This run is hosted by the Redwood Riders to benefit "The Ride for Kids" Pediatric Foundation. Registration starts at 9 a.m. with a $20 entry fee for single riders. The first 250 to sign up get a ride pin and coffee and donuts at start off the poker run.

July 26
Hogfest Summer Bash Bike Rally
Pelham, TN

This is a 21-and-over rally with lots of bike games, a bike show, a costume contest, and nightly adult contests, such as a wet T-shirt contest and topless bull riding. There will be live music and hot showers all weekend. Gates open at 6 a.m. Thursday for early setup, but the events start on Friday at 1 p.m.

Arkansas State HOG Rally
Hot Springs, AR

The rally begins on Friday at 10 a.m. at Hot Springs National Park, which is the rally headquarters along with the Austin Hotel, just walking distance from the famous bath house row. There will be many activities, and entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Registration is required on or before June 10.
