Yes, the economy is in the crapper and sales are down, but did that seem to affect the masses of fun seekers in Daytona Beach for Bike Week? We didn't think so. Although there were some changes. Gone were the thousands of trailers hidden all over town that people smuggled their bike into town with. They had been replaced by legions of happy faces on baggers who manned-up and rode down to Daytona for the event. Day and night, everywhere we looked there were hundreds of people on baggers. From the young gun on his chopped Road King to grandma and grandpa on their full dresser, people on touring bikes were out and about enjoying all the riding, food and fun this event has been famous for. To see the sites ourselves, we threw our legs over a couple of loaner bikes from Victory and Harley-Davidson then headed out to see just what was going on around Main and the revitalized Beach streets as well as the ever-crowded Destination Daytona. As we stumbled through the various vender and parking lots we spied more than a few cool items to hang on your bike as well as some trick baggers that you will be seeing in future issues of the magazine. Do yourself a favor and plan to attend the 2010 Daytona Bike Week no matter where you live. We hope to see you there!
